as carl says IT AINT GOT NO GAS IN IT well in this case sounds like its not getting no gas in it so get the carb rebuilt or adjusted/ cleaned and enjoy unless it does have fuel injectors and then they may need cleaned
Hmm, I'm still learning but I would probably say it's in the carburator. The same thing happened to my dirtbike and after cleaning the carburator it worked. Again, I am still learning about automotive, but that's my honest guess.
its definatly a fuel/air problem, i had an 87 trans am that did the same thing ( i had to cowboy pedal it to drive) after many bloody-knuckle sessions i found it was the Mass Air Flow sensor that was weak, also i changed all fuel filters, took fuel rail assembly off and bought new injectors and badda bing it idled no problem. also the performance increase was significant. I had a hard time keeping tires on it!!
A little more info about fuel system would also help us answer better
Type, motor size, carb/injected?
91 is throttle body so three things will cause it vacuum leak fuel filter dirty or fuel sock plugged inside tank or mass air flow is bad. the mas air low sensor detects how much air and fuel it gets if there is not enough air it will flood out.
