Y pipe Exhaust 04 Chevy Silverado?

I'm looking to put a Exhaust on my 2004 Chevy Silverado. And i don't wanna spend alot on the true duals. i was wondering if by cutting of at the Cat and having a Y pipe with out mufflers. will it be load and sound good?
There would be no Mufflers

actually y-pipes are quieter than singles because they usually have two mufflers.
