Well hello,
I have a 05 chevy cavalier manual. Had it for a few weeks now brother gave it to be but anywho... I been giving it a lot of TLC it has been needing... Been working on my own cars from day one of owning a car and many other's. This is my first manual. I don't grind gears or anything ... so I still stall sometimes but that's it.
OK so here's my problem I need help with . I got in it this morning and I starting driving it and out of nowhere it started reving up really high once I got out of 1st gear I hit 2ND and same thing happened took a sec to get going I pulled it over after I noticed white smoke coming from the hood. I pulled over for about 30 mins. I let it cool down got back in it started doing same thing so I kept it in second to get it home not reving over 4rpm. OK I got back into it about 4 hours later to see if was still acting up now it won't go into gear. ..... so I look into it more. My shifter is fine its still moving the linkage. clutch is still strong...... I put it in 1st let the clutch go it does nothing won't even stall out or move it's like it's in neutral .... I'm thinking transmission is bad or is it the bar that the linkage is attacked to under the master? Please help me thank you all in avanced for helping and reading my post
