Why won't my 1986 chevy silverado c10 start?

At first i could spray carb cleaner or starting fluid into the carborator and it would crank right up, the last few days i've tried to start it , it will crank like it wants to start but just wont. Any suggestions? Its a 1986 Chevy silverado c10 with a 305. I haven't yet tried any troubleshooting, just coming here with beginning suggestions.

my C65 did that. Took the fuel filter out completely and it ran okay. seems like the fuel pump got to weak to pull the gas through the restriction. or the fuel filter was shellacked. either way I put a new filter in and it was the same mess. I truly think the pump just got old and weak.
