I have a 94 Chevy Cavalier I bought it off my friend for $250 back in March the car runs really great. Since then I have bought brand new tires for them, brand new brakes, a brand new catalyc converter, a brand new exhaust pipe, a brand new alternator and battery for it as well, the car has a good motor, my boyfreind put brand new sparks on them I recently change the oil and basically gave the car a tune up everything is on point only one problem it waste gas to quick before I use to put 30 dollars worth of gas a week and I use to go everywhere now I waste nearly 10 dollars a A day and thats trying to save up on gas.i mean tats a huge gap. Thay told me to change the air filter so i did and it seems like the problem got worst. i mean i know gas is expensive but a thats almost 70 dollars a week thats is serious. I do not see any leaks in my car noone cant really seem to figure out the problem.could anyone give me an idea would a new fuel tank fix this problem .thank you please help

You bought brand new tires, you need to check your air pressure. Not visually, open the driver/passenger door and the required air pressure will be posted right there. Make sure your air pressure is correct. Also have that cadillac (catalytic) converter checked, just because its brand new doesn't mean its working correctly. Check your fuel gauge also, it might be a problem there. What it sounds like to me is not one huge problem, but several small ones. When you change out that many parts at once on a car thats 15 yrs old, you're bound to aggrevate something.

a fuel tank would do nothing, is thier any check engine lights on, if so take it to a garage and get the codes read
