General Motors announced that it is adding 1200 employees. Most of those people will be building the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2020 Buick Enclave. Why GM is betting big money on these family haulers.

Chevrolet is adding 800 employees working on a third shift to boost the production of the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2020 Buick Enclave. Last year, GM invested $36 million in the same Lansing Delta Township plant for future mid-size SUV production.

Adding Workers to Meet Demand

“We are excited to provide these opportunities in Lansing,” said Phil Kienle, vice president, GM North American Manufacturing and Labor Relations. “Our team members have proven experience in building high-quality vehicles and are well-prepared to meet the needs of our customers.”

Chevrolet increased their quality and added a lot of cool things in design of their cars.

Chevrolet has improved their cars, and General Motors, are doing a great job in recovering from recession and staying on the market. But in my opinion, it is a little bit too early to add that many jobs to design a new car.

That's a lot of miles for 2 years. Have it checked before buying it and run a CarFax report.
