Hi all,i just traded my 94 Honda prelude for a awesome 77 chevy c10 with a 350, edilbrock carb and flowmaster exhaust with hedman headers in it about 2 weeks ago on craigslist. About 2 days ago on Tuesday the 21st of may while driving home from the hospital with my wife I noticed white smoke coming from the hood about 3 minuites away from my house. when I opened the hood at home I noticed white smoke coming from the oil cap and oil dip.

The next day on ym way to work which is only about 2 miles from ym apartment it happened again.....and at about 35-40 mph it seamed like it would not go into the next gear till about 45 mph. since I got the truck the oil pressure guage is always at zero, so I know the sensor is out and needs replacing....any ideas about the other stuff?

Did you have the vehicle checked by a competent mechanic before buying it? If you remove the oil cap do you see a brownish sludge like substance in the cap? Have you checked the coolant level when the engine was cold and is it low? What color is the oil on the dipstick?

there si no sludge around or insde the manifold or cap ,coolent lvls are fine and the oil looks relatively fresh,no residue in it or anything like that.dident get it checked by a mechanic, guess I should have but that's behind us

Sounds like you've got coolant seeping into the combustion chamber to me. You need to keep a daily check on the coolant level and the color of the oil. This could be either a leaking head gasket or intake gasket. If you stand behind it with it running, does the exhaust have a sweet smell to it? If so, you'd better stop driving it and go ahead and get your torque wrench and other tools ready to take the top end apart.
