Which should I buy? A Chevrolet Impala (00-05) or Ford Taurus (00-06)?

I am 17 and I am saving up for a car. I have decided that I want a full size car that has some power (a inline 4 in my family's 05' Toyota Camry is too gutless) but not overkill. Pretty much, I want a car with a V6/I6 that is somewhat inexpensive. I also really want, more than these two, a GMC Envoy/Chevrolet Trailblazer, but I think I won't be able to afford them, but I hope I somehow can.

I'm weary about the Impala's b/c of the passlock problem (i want the 3.8L engine, not the trouble ridden 3.4L)
I'm weary about the Taurus b/c of the spring snapping & tranny problems.

How do these cars ride? Are they comfortable? Do they have good room and enough pick up? Any other info about them is much appreciated

Buy a Toyota! get a V-6 if you want to go faster and burn more gas. Buy a ford or chevy if you want to work on it a lot. I'm not joking!

I prefer the looks of the Chevy. Plus, it is more fun to drive then the Ford.

Those two cars are very comfortable and quiet and large. That is why they are commonly used as Rental cars.
