Chevy Malibu? I'm looking to get a car in the $ 20K range. I discounted Ford Fusion because it's Mexican-made. I'd like to support the USA economically because I have relatives there.
Profits don't go overseas. GDP is calculated this way: the country that MAKES the product takes the GDP, since the workers' salaries get circulated back into the economy.

i would go with a honda or a toyota, they are definitely wayyyy reliable. i have a '99 accord, i bought it last year, and i have never had a single problem with it.
so you know a honda accord will last you a good ten years with no major problems

if ur planning on getting a new car, i would get the cheby malibu. it would most greatly benefit the economy since thousands of jobs are at stake if gm goes under. also jd power and associates gave buick the highest rating in quality for 2009 or 2008 not sure which. this affects chevy as well since gm uses the same quality standards on all of their cars. plus, the new malibu looks way better than all the other cars mentioned.

if ur buying a used car it does not affect the economy. used car sales are not calculated in gdp.

I can't speak for these cars, but my Honda Civic was constructed in New Jersey. I imagine they make Accords there, too.

hey dummy 3 out of the four aren't american stupid. so Guess that leaves you with the malibu

I have a 99 toyota. I hate that car because every little thing breaks on it, it is a shame you didn't have a ford listed. But I say go for the chevy.

Toyota Camry. Check out some sites that let you compare stats on cars.

Check out www.kbb.com

You can always trust kelly blue book.

Chevy Malibu is American. I would go for a Toyota Camry, since Toyota cars tend to last longer. (Toyota is a Japanese auto company, as well as Honda and Nissan)
