About how much will it cost to have this fixed? Can I fix it myself?
How hard would it be to go to a "pull a part" and take one off another truck myself? Can you give me details on how to fix it? If I go to pull a part, what exactly do I need to get?

in the gas tank.. can you fix it yourself.?..fact you don't know where it is sez no...parts are about 300 dollars[ fuel pump and gas gage sending unit are togther..]....droping tank is about 100 to 150....

Rule of thumb: If it's injected, it will be in the tank.

In your case I would get a mechanic to do it. You might want to bring the new pump with you because you can get raped easily on the price of one.
Be sure the pump is bad first, there may be other, cheaper causes for your problem whatever it is.
