Make sure you do have an air bleed.
Look at the radiator and if it has a cap, there is where you bleed it.
If no cap then look on the engine directly under the coolant reservoir.
for the most part GM uses bleeder screws. Air bubbles rise to the top so it going to be the highest point in the cooling system. I had a grand am with a 3400 and it was on the front left side looking at the engine.
