There's this car I found and the guy wants 6000. The car is a 1981 corvette with 38000 miles original. The car is all original but the owner added remote start and installed an alarm system. The car has the original paint which hasn't faded and looks new. The seats need to be upholstered...How much is this car worth???

One of the most undesirable Vetts ever made, under horse powered over smogged pieces of falling apart junk GM ever put on the road, I wouldn't give you $500 bucks for it, might as well buy a Cadillac Cimarron, there a real classic too.

that is a good year for a corvette, I checked on nada guide or www.nada.com and was surprised that it was about 15 to 17 grand for one in good condition, so then I went and checked on hemmings motor news www.hemmings.com this is an old car magazine from way back, it has some free online links, like last months ads, and corvette were going for 15 grand and up depending on condition. That low a mileage if you get the interior redone, is worth some bucks, but those cars did not have the extra didgit for the speedo, so I think with the seats the way my friends 79 was the seats were worn out at 120,000 so unless there is that extra zero that thing has been around the block. Its still worth a lot more than you are paying for it so I would buy it and get the seats redone.
