What was the original name for the Corvette ?

no...the Original name for the corvette was CORVETTE...chevrolet began production in 1953...it has been called the corvette ever since...in the early 60's there was the corvette sting ray...but it was a corvette first with the sting ray added afterward,s...mustang is a ford product that debuted in 1964/65...ford did this to offer a sporty car since the thunder bird went to luxury in 1958 & did not return to it,s basic sporty design until just the recent trend to return to it,s root,s....as did the mustang...and the chevy camaro [ after a short retirement]...I should mention the Dodge charger & challenger as well...but the corvette never strayed from it,s root,s as a true 2 seated sport,s car.....the name mustang was never considered by chevrolet as a possible name for the corvette. the mustang logo was ford,s alone.

what? seriously.. the Corvette came out years ahead of the mustang.. and they aren't even in the same class then or now..

something you need to learn before spewing garbage is the Big 3 (american car companies) have more or less been copying each others work or even hiring each others designers from the early days..
