What LS engine can be swaped in a 1990 corvette? What wouldve the best option?

Looking to purchase a 1990 vette with plans at the end of the year to swap a LS engine into her. What's my best swap option? Also I'm looking into mod the LS after it's installed (ex; forged pistons, stroker, supercharger) thanx
on a budget of 15k
LSX & LS3 ...... would they fit in 90 vette without too much cutting? But still good info. I was hopping for a LS1 answer since they are so common now a days
