What kind of system should I get put into my 2007 Chevy Silverado?

I have a 2007 extended cab Silverado. I want to put a new system in, but I don't have a ton of money to spend on it. I am for sure going to get a 10" sub put in the center console, and I might buy a 500 watt amp from my buddy who can sell it to me for close to nothing. Is it really necessary for me to get door speakers, or even the amp?
