I wouldn't go bigger than 16" or 17". For 1, you're messing with a classic. And 2, the vehicles suspension was not designed for anything bigger than a 15" with a big side wall. Often when you mess with wheel size, on a camaro especially, you wind up with wheel hop at the rear end when you get on it hard.

Just an F.Y.I,
A friend of mine put some beautiful low profile wheels on his
68 Camaro and wound up bottoming out everywhere we went.
Not such a great idea for that car with low profile tires , unless
you don't mind destroying the bottom of the car...especially
the headers and exhaust...

Just something to think about...
