I backed into a mail box and now have white paint transfer on a blue granite metallic truck. The transfer is on the tail light and some on the actual paint. What is the best way to remove this myself?

First, rub it gently with rubbing compound. This comes in a red can and brownish wax color. Be careful not to get to the primer underneath the outer paint. Then, buff it with a polishing compound. This is the one in the green can and comes in white wax color. I think the brand is Turtle Wax. You can get them at Pep Boys, Kragen, or Autozone. I have used these before. Good luck!

With a rubbing compound. Scratch-X by Maguires is one of the best I've used.

use dupont #7 polishing compound, then wax. good as new
