What is the best engine oil for my chevy avalanche?

hi all, i started reading about the engine oil but i still cant make up my mind, I'm not sure which engine oil to pick. i want the best engine oil for my car that reduces friction and very lubricant for the car. so if someone knows what type of engine oil, i want them to tell me which one out of these is best:
0w-30
5w-30
10w-40

and the best manufacturer for that oil. Thanx alot.
What about 5w-40. is it any good. ?

if its cold where you live go with 5w-30 because its less thicker and will run threw the engine better in cold weather but offers less protection then thicker oil. i always run castrol gtx. knock on wood never had a engine go with it. my camaro has 140k on it i use gtx high mileage
