What is the best Corvette model and year to buy?

I just Turned 16 and my Gf always wanted to get a red corvette convertible but theres so may makes models specifications and years. WHich one should i get? Theyre all cheap to buy used so price does not matter and im also looking for safety speed and lowest amount of maintenance

no doubt the c5 generation is the cheapest and most popular so maintenance won't be a problem. i hope you know about cars buddy.

If you want "safety, speed and low maintenance" don't buy a Vette. Insurance on any Corvette for a 16 year old is a killer anyway.
