what could be wrong with my chevy silverado ....replaced the fuel filter....

if it starts up and runs then it,s not the fuel system. it might be the lock-up converter. i had to change the sensor that runs the lock-up converter on a grand am once. it did the same thing. it would sit there and run until you pulled it in gear then it would stall.

That's what you get for buying a Chevy.

Agree with Bandit. Unplug the wire harness to the transmission unless it is the L460. Probably the lock up on the trans for the torque converter. Pull pan and replace solenoid. Get a manual it will show you where this part is.
