The throttle body engine in that vehicle is one of the longest, if not the longest lasting gas engine ever. A fellow I work with has a 90 Chevy c-1500 that has 350k miles and runs like it is brand new. They are defiantly the best engine that any American manufacturer has ever made. For longevity that is. And no, they are not hard to maintain. Just run a good 20 w 50 motor oil and it will last for ever.
