Was there ever such thing as a corvette manta ray?

and no on the question title im not confused with the stingray im not getting confused i saw a old corvette pass me by on the high way it was very low to the ground it had a symbol of what i thought was either a stingray or a manta so i looked it up and the stingray looked like the one but it was not close to the ground but i looked up manta and it was so i thought it was a manta but i never saw on the internet a manta for sale so is there such thing as a manta?
but is there a stingray that's very close to the ground?
