First, the u-joints were just replaced to see if that would fix this and the tires are balanced and rotated. (i.e. they are NOT the cause)
The vibration occurs more towards the mid to upper speeds (35-65), but it's NOT constant. It only occurs sometimes and occurs most when you lightly press on the accelerator. When it does vibrate, you can let off the accelerator and resume accelerating shortly after and it usually disappears. Sometimes, you can force it to vibrate by feathering the gas and "catch it." Meaning, you can get it to start vibrating and, instead of letting off the gas, you give it slightly more to make the vibration worse.
At higher speeds (75+) it pretty well goes away, BUT you can still feel a light vibration throughout.
The vibration itself: You have to compare it to the "wake-me-up bumps" on the side of the road. They are of similar loudness but with a deeper pitch. It seems to vibrate up from my feet and my old man said he feels like it's in the rear end, but can't confirm.
Please give any suggestion as to troubleshooting (where to check) or a good solution (what to fix).
THANK YOU!
