I have a 2000 3.8 camaro, i have the y pipe to single into duals, i want to run true duals ive already found headers im going to buy but, i cant find an exhaust kit that is true duals. Can i buy a true dual kit thats for a 5.7 camaro on put it on my 3.8? or dose a company make one?

Thanks

wha? dude just save up some beaucoup bucks and wait and them drop an LS1 into it with a Dynomax kit. Then it'll sound a helluva lot better.

Don't waste your time or money. It will not increase the power any that you notice. Plus it will sound horrible. Save your money and buy a V8 Camaro instead.

You could use the true dual kit for the LS1 and have an exhaust shop finish the piping or you could have a shop just fab everything you need.. To my knowledge no one makes a true dual kit for a 3.8

I have to ask though, why would you think of doing this? It's overkill on a 3.8...not to mention it's going to be tough to make it sound good. It's your car, your $$$ but it's waste IMO. Don't be surprised if you don't gain much power and have a crap sounding exhaust.

The reason your finding it hard to do an X pipe on a F-body is because if you were to make a X pipe on that car , because of the way they designed the under belly with the gas tank right under the drivers side, you would have just about no ground clearance. So I would order a high performance Y pipe, they sound good and give you better power. I would also install cut outs right after your headers so you can open it up any time you want.
