So I just installed a new radiator on my 90 suburban 4x4 5.7l v8 and after checked all the lines and there was no leaks. my wife drove around all day and no problems. she went to the store and on her way back she found that the transmission lines at the radiator were leaking so she bought tranny fluid put it in and I believe the problem was just a loose clamp on the hose. does anyone know if the aftermarket radiators connections are different from the original? If so can I just put some teflon tape on the connector? Please help

You are the person who connected the lines, did they go in easily or did you force them? You can put teflon tape on the threads.

update: the rubber hose connecting the transmission cooler to the radiator was old and cracked. there was a pinhole that when I started the truck turned into a full on leak. Had to replace the hose and now everythings good. it wasnt the connection. and I was very careful connecting all the lines and clamps. the burban is back on the road.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.
