Have a 2017 1500 Lt. In the manual it has a rating for towing of a camper at 9400 pound's. When GM set's these rating what is the guidelines? The camper I have has a max 7500 pound capacity. So if I pull this camper 3 weeks out of 4 weeks in different terrain ( hills, interstate, 2 lane highway ect) am I hurting or outside the guidelines of GM.

The table you looked at also shows gross vehicle weight and advised to monitor speed, altitude, road grades, air temperature, and frequency of towing. Beyond that they are not more specific. The 7,500 is way below the maximum you stated so as long as you keep an eye on temperature's of the engine/transmission you should be fine.

Thanks. Have to get the manual out and look closer.
