The power mirrors don't work on my 2000 Chevy Silverado. They only respond when I...

...press up and left.What to do? When I press down or right on my power mirrors I get no response what needs to be replaced?

I was able to get my mirrors working again by carefully taking the paddle switch apart and cleaning the contact areas of the circuit board and button contactors. Apparently after so many years dirt and/or dust particles prevent the button from making good contact. Worked so well I was able to get my wife's Tahoe's mirrors working properly again too.
