The instrument lights in my 1969 Corvette don't come on when the headlights...

...are on. Is there a switch/dimmer? Don't know if I'm just not seeing a switch/dimmer or if a fuse is blown. If a fuse, where would I need to replace it and with what kind? Thanks!
 
I believe you need to rotate the knob that you pull out to turn on the head lights is the dimmer for the dash lights.
If it's a blown fuse, I think the fuse box is located under the dash close to the left side. It is a glass tube type fuse. The fuse block should have a diagram showing each fuse location and purpose. If your tail lights are not working also, then it is the fuse that is blown.
Do you have an owners manual for this car? It will show the fuse types and location as well.
