Subwoofer not functioning- 2011 equinox

We own a 2011 equinox and noticed the sub is not functioning. All other speakers and radio components work great. Pulled the sub out and tested the woofer. Still getting proper ohm. Voltage to through the dual sub speakers wires seems to be 2.5-6v when receiving a signal from the head unit. Any ideas why the sub wouldn’t be working? Doesn’t appear to be a blown fuse either.

Typically a speaker is checked with a small 1.5v battery. Try that. The other possibility is the voltage reading you are getting is not actually a sound. Try another speaker.

Thanks for the link. I have checked a brand new 8” sub and still nothing. All other speakers are working and seems as though the factory head unit is sending voltage through the speaker wire to the sub.
