Hi all, i'm new here. I live in New Zealand & we have some pretty silly laws regarding the importation of Suburbans & Dually's.
I'm wanting to import a '87/'88 Dually for towing my racecar but a Suburban would suffice.
Our import law states that the fourth letter of the Vin must be a,b,c,d,e or f; if it's g or above it MUST be converted to right hand drive which costs around $25k-30k NZ dollars... which kind of makes it not worth while at all.
If I cant find a dually that falls within our silly guidelines then a Suburban will do, but the same Vin code applies.
Also, how easy is it to convert a Suburban to a dual rear wheel setup?... the reason I ask is if I can find a Suburban that falls within the Vin code then i'd like to fit a dual rear wheel setup like the dually has.
