Hi
Just wanted to know if anyone can help me with this weird issue on my burban.
I have a 1995 5.7 suburban with the 4wd shifter on the floor.
I put it into 4wd and sometimes it works and most other times it don't. I want to just run out and buy a new actuator but they are not cheap. today it would go into 4wd then later it would not, I took out the actuator brought it in the house cleaned contacts and put it back in and it worked, later on I went out and took a trip and it would not engage again. I tested the harness and I have power to the terminal it has a 5 pin switch but I noticed that 2 wires are cut off, thought that was strange but I know it works the way it is wired . but could that be a reason for sometimes it works ? any way are there any other switches on this system other than the actuator that I could check the terminals for corrosion? or any ideas what might be going on?
