Starter Solenoid

Hey guys, so I replaced the starter solenoid for the Suburban, although, when I tried to reinstall it, the main connector terminal didn't want to fit over the thread, and it would be really difficult do get in the small space I have to drill it out a little bigger. Any suggestions?

You cannt go back and get the correct size solenoid?

They told me that was the one that they had for a 350 truck starter, I could try bringing it in and comparing it to another brand, if they even have another brand haha

Is there a big savings over just replacing the solenoid as opposed to the entire starter? Any time I've had starter issues I would just replace the whole thing.

Yes though you should take it back and compare it with something else. Sometimes the auto parts guys have the wrong info.

You have to drop the whole starter anyway, don't you? Take it in and show them. Make sure the contacts are all nice and clean and unbroken while you do the job.
