should I get roadside assistance on a 1997 chevy malibu?

I am with geico and I have just regular insurance with them, but I was wondering should I get roadside assistance? I have had problems in the past where I needed help and didn't have any, and I want to drive to california from Las Vegas soon.I just dont know if its a good investment or what, so please any advice is appreciated. thanks

if you dont have any knowlege about cars then yes, you should get it. the price is wroth it. specially if your driving across the desert.
