should i get a chevy cobalt? mazda 6? or mazda 3? help please!?

i currently own a 2003 chevy cavalier and it has been giving me problems from the start. now i need to replace something that is going to cost me $1,000! which is not worth it since i can only sell this car for if anything, $2000. ive been looking for some newer cars but know NOTHING about cars so im not sure which will last me the longest etc.

i'm 19 and i'm going to start going to college soon so i need something that i'm not going to have to fix a lot at a shop

ive been looking at chevy cobalts, mazda 6s, or mazda 3s. something sporty

im just looking for what's the best value for my money. i know cobalts are cheap but do they last? would it be worth it getting a used mazda for $8,000? or should i just go to a dealership and finance a newer car instead?

Get a used Mazda over a new Chevy. I've driven a Cavalier and a Grand Am in the past and now have a Mazda6. You talk about a world of difference in every way. I'll take my 2-year old Mazda6 over any new Chevy any day. Good luck.
