If you like it, get it.
Any 2008 car maintained properly is going to be pretty reliable. All car manufacturers have come a long way in the last 10-15 years in terms of reliability of mechanical components etc., GM included.
If you take care of your car, it will run for a very long time. New cars are engineered with a lifespan target of at least 150,000 miles, so you should safely expect to get at least that many miles (and probably more) if you just follow the maintenance recommendations listed in the owner's manual.
Besides, you can always trade it in or sell it and get something else later if you aren't satisfied with it for whatever reason. It's not like you're stuck with it forever if you don't like it.
