Should I buy a Chevy Malibu that has 110k miles on it? How long do Chevy Malibu's

I had a Chevy Malibu for a few years, I loved it. I can't remember the year, but it was a 1990 something too. It had over $100,000 miles too, but it was still a smooth ride. I had 1 major problem with it & that was it, I can't remember exactly what it was though. I just had to sell it because baby #3 was on the way & we needed a van. Have a mechanic (not the dealers mechanic) check it out, if he gives it the ok & it rides smooth, I'd buy it if the price was right.
