Several problems with 6CD audio system on 2003 1500 z66

This is the original factory installed Bose 6CD system.

Radio works but none of the station preset buttons work - nothing happens when you push them. The clock set buttons don't work even though the time is displayed. A CD icon is flashing and I can't load or remove any CDs. Several other buttons don't work ie nothing happens when you push them (like Push for Audio) .

Steering wheel controls work (volume and changing from FM to AM, XM, RSE for the factory DVD player etc) .

Any ideas ? To me it looks like the entire unit is shot but would hate to replace it and then find that it's something else.

Is there a CD stuck in the unit? You can try one or both of these suggestions. Locate the main fuse for the radio and remove it for a few minutes. If you cannt find it, disconnect the car battery for a few minutes. Hopefully this will be the equivilant of rebooting a computer.
