Replacing the passenger side mirror on a 1989 Chevy Silverado?

Hi! my boyfriend hit a branch in his 1989 Chevy Silverado a few weeks ago, and completly cracked the glass in his passenger side mirror... i would like to replace this for him. is it hard? can anyone point me in the right direction, or know the how to replace steps? it is a manual........i did this once for my VW...
