Well after just about pulling my hair out this weekend trying to figure out how to get the Rear DVD unit screen to work, I think I am going to have to take my 3 day old 2012 Avalanche LTZ back to the dealer.
I might be missing something stupid, but it can't be this difficult. No matter what I do, the rear screen will not come on when playing a DVD. It works on the front NAV screen (when in park) and the audio plays through the sound system.
I have read through the manual several times and it sounds like I should be able to just power it on using the remote. I hit the power button, hold it down for several seconds, nothing Tried point at the front screen, back screen with no luck. All other remote functions work (again, using the front display when in park).
My salesman had no clue how to work the Nav and there was no DVD in during the delivery demo, so I'm not sure how much help he would be. I'm thinking I will have to take it straight back to service dept, but I don't want to look like an idiot and wait for who knows how long if it is something I can fix.
Anyone know what I could be doing wrong before I take it in? Or is this something that could just not be working / defective?
Thanks!!
