Is the stock radio in 1991 chassis ground?

I want to put a kill switch on the radio as it drains the battery too fast. Can I just switch the ground, or is the radio also chassis grounded, and I need them to switch the two + leads?

Did you determine this by using an ammeter and observed a drain of more than 50ma?
If so, did you then start pulling fuses and the radio fuse was the source of the high reading?

No. Previous owner pulled both radio fuses to avoid battery discharge through process of elimination.
