Okey so I have a 2004 Chevy truck, bought it brand new(actually got it off my brother since he couldn't finish paying for it, I took over it). Its mine now, but the speedometer has gone bad, and is not working right, the truck works great, doesnt have but 44, 000 miles in it. But my husband won't fix it, he said its too expensive, whatever, so I called my brother and he said I researched and it says that the 2004 thru whatever have been recalled for problems on the speedomenters, and other functions, but now the question is, is a recall the same thing a s a Warranty, because I know we have warranty for 5 years or 100 K miles, but the 5 years was up in April. What to do, take it back to the chevy place where it was purchased or what.. T hank you, I absolutely know nothing about matters like this one.
