hey all, I was driving back to my house tonight when my car dinged and my info screen said 'power steering'. I felt an instant change in the steering, I was just trying to get home at this point (I was only about 2 miles away) then my check engine light came on and my speedometer was at zero, (I was going down hill) where my mileage is displayed it read 'error' and my info screen where it tells me miles til empty, oil life and my tripomiters are it was all cleared out with dashes (--------)
I've been doing research on the internet (seen that it was 9pm) and I guess it is a fairly common issue with this car, I've also learned that it is an electric power steering system, and that most time it fixes itself, HOWEVER now I'm kinda nervous to drive the dang thing. I am calling the dealership tomorrow and speaking with the maintenance department but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It is a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT
