...types, please advise...? I recently purchased an 01 Silverado 2500HD. After about 2 weeks of heavy driving (I do anywhere from 100-200 miles a day in it) it started "kicking" with each shift. Hitting WAY harder considering that when its not doing it, it shifts excellent. It doesnt start doing it until I've driven at least 50 miles or so, and the weirdest part about it is that if I immediately pull over and shut it off, when I start it again it stops completely. I was advised that it may be a transmission solanoid problem so I used DuraLube in it. For about a month it never happened again. Then today, out of the blue on my usual work commute, it started again. (Only does it after a "longer" drive - I could drive through town all day with no problems.) I immediately took it down to my mechanic, who hooked it up to the diagnostic machine. It provided no info. It appeared to not be having any problems. Clearly, it is. I've also been advised that it could be the throttle positioning censor, which I am having replaced tomorrow as a precaution. My worry is that the tranny is hot, or heading that way, and I dont want to sink a bunch of money into it or replace the tranny if there is something minor it could actually be. Has anyone had this problem before?? I will take any help I can get - minor or major, doesnt matter. I just need more knowledge before I make any serious repair decisions. Thanks
