...and the remote start on it? Ok so its been bitterly cold here (iowa) lately, like in the negatives. Before when it got cold my car had died, but we got it started up after we let it sit charging off another car, but before we got it to start the dumb thing would try to start itself after we hooked the cables to the battery. The remote start was installed when i bought it, I didn't even know it had it for a year until i was messing with the keys and buttons. The key wouldn't even be in it or anything and we didn't hit the start button on the key ring. Then we put it in a heated garage since I wouldn't be driving it for a little while.

It was in the garage for a good month, month in a half and then we tried to start it. Nothing, dead as can possibly be. Finally got a booster battery charger on it and it started. So I drove it about 20 miles or so and went to park and before i could even go to turn it off it died. I went to start it...nothing, not a ding, nothing. I couldn't get the window to roll back up or down, when i say nothing i mean nothing.

Every time we try and jump it, it trys starting itself and dinging and just acting crazy. Now when we jump it it stays on maybe 3 mins and dies. What in the hell could it be? How can i disable this damn remote start. I think its just draining my battery. Maybe I need a new battery? Hell I don't really know to be honest, just guessing. I don't mean to sound cheap, but if at all possible what are my options and costs? I don't mind disabling something especially the remote start, that i don't need. I'm just trying to get the car to missouri where i'm moving. Seriously any ideas will be great...Thanks for reading all this.
