I have a 2 wheel drive and rear wheel 2004 chevy colorado and here is where the fun starts. This truck is first truck I've owned and bought it almost brand new. Recently I let me mother use it....AND it was icy out. So she went into a driveway of someones which was FULL of snow. I don't know what exactly happened cause I wasn't there. but she may or may not have held the gas down you know to try and spin out of there. Did a lot to try and get it out. I don't know the events in between but I know either trying to get out she may have rolled back into a car behind her or they may have tried to push it out with another car. Anyway, all I know is there is a dent the size of texas on my tailgate. Now, the reason why I'm telling you this is because now a couple weeks later...mind you I don't know if this is because of that happening but my right rear tire went flat out of no where within a 2 hour time limit and all I could find is a tiny hole. Which to me is odd because it should have taken longer for all of that air to get out. NOW the real problem I have put the spare tire on which is basically as big as my other tires. when I spin out on ice even for a second my truck yanks to the right like keeps pulling hard for a while. Like basically if I let go of the steering wheel it could almost make a right turn. and when I turn the wheel a certain way it makes a real light metallic grinding sound. So, needless to say I am frustrated beyond belief and could use any help I get. If you know of any other car oriented websites I could stick this on or if you can help me please please please do!!!! I would rather try to have someone help me on here then take it into a garage and get charged a crap load of money! Thank you for taking the time to read this.

First those are good trucks, so it is probably something simple. If the spare tire is not the exact same size as the other tires that is likely the problem. The size is on th side of the tire ie. 175/65/15. The 4 wheel drive version comes with a full size spare, but I think the 2 wheel drive version does not. Get the tire fixed, and you should be good to go. Also when it is snow out you can put something heavy in the back, and that will give you better traction. I use sand bags, they are cheap at home depot, just get bags of play sand.
