Hi there people,

I am new to all things classic in the car world and have been looking into getting a 68-71 Nova or similar year Chevelle... What im curious to know is if I bought a beat up one.... just barely running sort of thing.... how much do you think it would cost to do a complete restore inside/out including a full interior restore, a new 350 engine or something similar and a new transmission to go with it as well as some modern braking system, power steering, wheels, complete restore to the outside body.... im not looking to make it showroom condition... just a nice basic looking and running Nova that I can drive around that would be reliable to drive as a daily driver and be comfortable enough as well.

Anyone willing to give this newbie a break down of the different parts and prices and perhaps a rough total as to how much I should expect to spend.... I got about 15 grand set aside for this right now and could spare a few extra grand if need be.... I can do all the interior work myself and some mechanical stuff like the suspension, exhaust, lighting, electrical.....but body/paint/engine/transmission would have to be done by a shop.

Thanks a bunch.... long live the Nova and Chevelle... two of my favorite old school cars.:D
