Hey everyone... I have a 2005 C6 Corvette with 46K miles on it. The car runs GREAT and drives great! It is my weekend vehicle so it will not be a daily driver... That being said, here is my question...
Now that my warranty is up, i am wanting to modify my baby (the vette, lol)... I dont want have the money nor the want to have 600+ HP or twin turbos or a supercharger.... But i WOULD like to modify the car to get to about 480-500HP. I am a member of many forums and have read A LOT about modding and performance upgrades... but i still have a few questions..
What does "cam'ing" the engine actually do....? And what are the possible negative effects? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mean, throaty sound of a cammed engine with Long Tube Headers and a good exhaust... But am scared that once i open that door (by cam'ing the engine), i may be headed to a "point of no return" when it comes to maintenance and problems...
