Mystery Ground Wire

Hi folks. First time poster here. I found a broken ground wire and cannot figure out where it is supposed to connect. I have a feeling it is causing a rough idle problem I've been having. But could be totally unrelated.

In case the picture doesn't work: It's on the firewall above the air box and throttle cable on the back left of the plenum.

Engine is Vortec 7.4 big block. Vehicle is 99 Chevy k2500 Suburban.

Anyone know what it goes to?

I have a similar grounding strap. Goes from the firewall to the back of the passenger side head.

Mine is a 350 gas engine, the location on the firewall is a little to the left for mine but I would not doubt if that it what it is.

the info GalaxyChief provided sounds correct but that would not cause a rough idle. Do you have a check engine light on?
