My uncle wants to sell me a 1979 z28. Camaro for 500$. Is this a good deal?

I don't know much about it besides that it has an 8 cylinder engine and gets thirteen mpg. It's black and silver and the paint job isn't bad. It's in fairly good condition as far as I know. Thannks! .
