my cd in my 2000 chevy malibu all of a sudden started saying error and

makes a noise like it ejecting a cd? the radio works however but does not let mew play cd at all ejects its auto.. the button is not stuck as i checked it.it does it when the car is off too its very weird lol..so is there anyway to reset the radio or solve this problem??
